Style Doesn't Have to Cost a Lot

As a coach for a local boys and girls lacrosse club, I saw the potential for uniforming teams further, by, somehow painting the shafts. After thinking about the feasibility of painting each kids stick, I decided to look into alternate ideas. At first I was looking into the athletic tape that players use currently to wrap around for grip. But, the ability to print on that tape, was prohibitive. The adhesive residue from those tapes, was too much of a mess. After months of researching different materials I stumbled upon this polyester fiber fabric with all the printing capability possible, and minimal residue. In fact, a player can place the wrap on the shaft, remove it and then reapply without losing much adhesion at all.

Talking to the younger players, about the possibility of having their name and number in addition to a cool design on their stick, I found them to be thrilled with the idea. For parents, it is an affordable way to customize their kid’s stick without purchasing a whole new shaft that can run into the hundreds. The demand for custom design in todays society is rampant. The days of the plain white or silver metallic shaft, are over. The time for color and uniqueness is here.

During my coaching years I also encountered the occasional lost stick. What better way to identify a players stick than a personalized wrap from Lax Wraps.
